About

Darcie Kemp is a multidisciplinary artist based in Manchester. Specialising in prop and set design, as well as having a background in photography and styling.
Since graduating from Salford University, with a First Class Honours in Fashion Image Making and Styling, Darcie has continued to work on her own creative projects as well collaborative exhibitions.

Darcie's practice explores nostalgia, often taking inspiration from childhood memories in a playful and organic nature as well as her interest in Folklore and Folk art.
More recently she has been experimenting with a new medium, print making. Darcie has been working on lino printing for the past year and currently this is the primary focus of her practise. Her prints explore the same themes as her previous work, creating characters in her unique 'naive' and 'cartoon-like' style.

With the Manchester based collective, 'Art Is Coming', Darcie has helped put together beautiful shows that celebrate and support each of the incredible creatives that are a part of the 'Art Is Coming' family.
Her main involvement in the collective is to create the props and costumes for the performers.
